Description
We are looking for a senior pharmacy technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy setting (Non-Chain).
Responsibilities
- Handling inbound and outbound phone communications with patients.
- Assist the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Reaching out to patients to obtain information required to process prescription refills and new prescription verifications.
- Responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties
- Research and follows up on unpaid insurance claims and billing problems.
- Knowledge of medical billing/collections practices and basic medical coding.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations: Day Supply
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a specialty pharmacy setting (Non-Chain).
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX systems.
Schedule
Monday – Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm - No weekends!
Compensation
- $35 - $38/hr - PLUS Profit Sharing!!!
